Cinnamon (LTL-C-9540)
|
Cinnamon is a small black cat with
beautiful green eyes and a sweet temperament. He was the smallest of
his litter, but quickly caught up and now rules the roost in his
foster home :)! He loves to play with his brother, and is always
curious to see what you are doing. He even gets along well with the
small dogs in his foster home. Cinnamon has a tiny voice and unlike
his brother, you'll rarely hear a word from him. Cinnamon was
recently diagnosed with the early stages of Asthma and requires
daily medicine, and low-dust litter to manage his condition.
Cinnamon is also on a special strict diet of “Iams Kitten Chicken
food”.

Duncan (FH-C-9641)
|
GO HAWKS! Our Duncan is a furry version of Duncan Keith, a Chicago Blackhawk! Duncan is a very sweet orange tabby that is a bit on the shy side. He is extremely playful and inquisitive – he loves trying to catch a mouse on a computer screen. Duncan has a very warm and sweet nature although he can be a bit skittish and likes to be the one who takes the first step to approach you. He loves to play catch though, and any toys/balls are for grabs. If you have a cat in the house that needs a playmate, he would be the perfect companion. If you have patience to warm his heart, and gain his trust, he will fill your home with gratitude and warm your heart. It takes a special person to gain the confidence of a shy cat. When a shy cat is moved to a new environment, he will have to start all over to gain the trust of his new family. Interactions with a shy cat will be slow. Initially placing him in a room of his own would be ideal. You will most likely need to make frequent visits to his new room, just sit in a chair or lie on the floor and just talk to him, letting him get to know your voice. Little by little, he will start to get closer and want to be pet. He needs time to learn to trust you. You will need to let him come to you at his own pace. You will need to only pet him when he wants to be petted, and let him walk away if he feels scared. This process could take a week, two weeks, or even months. We will help with this process by providing information to help with the transition. Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Duncan really needs a playmate in his forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. Check out our other fosters to see if you can find a buddy for Duncan! If there is already another playful cat or kitten in your house, that would work out too…he already proved he is great at making friends! Duncan's estimated date of birth is 9/8/14. His adoption fee of $50 includes his vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neuter.

Finn (C16009) New Arrival!!
|
“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...”, Finn was on a journey to find his forever home. He made it to the RESCUE UNIVERSE by being brave and smart to find his way into the world of “big people”. As he landed on the new planet Foster, he continued to be curious to see what’s going on and to make sure he’s a part of it! Finn is a great companion to his siblings and to every human he meets. Finn will be a lifelong friend! Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Finn really needs a playmate in his forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. Check out our website to see if one of his siblings is still available. If there is already another playful cat or kitten in your house, that would work out too…he already proved he is great at making friends! If you are only interested in adopting a single kitten, and you’re home most of the day, and able to spend interactive time with a kitten, we will consider adopting out a kitten older than 4 months. Each foster home knows the kitten’s personalities best, and we follow their recommendations for single placements. Finn’s foster family currently recommends that he not be adopted as a single cat. Finn’s estimated date of birth is 9/22/15. His adoption fee of $135 includes his vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neuter.

Kaner C-9642
|
SHY CATS NEED FOREVER HOMES TOO! GO HAWKS! Our Kaner is a furry version of a Chicago Blackhawk! Kaner LOVES to explore and play with his siblings! One of his favorite things to do is to chase a laser mouse! He also seems to have an attraction to golf balls (I guess hockey pucks aren’t so easy to push around for a cat). Kaner also comes when called, and if he is sleeping somewhere, a rattle of the food bag will bring him right to you! Kaner is shy with new people, but once he gets to know you, he will seek attention. He has cuddled on his foster mom’s lap, and slept next to her on the bed. Kaner prefers to not be picked up by anyone, but will roll over for a gentle belly rub. He is also very gentle with taking treats from your fingers. Check out this video to see how sweet Kaner is once he gains your trust Kaner has been in a foster home with children, other cats and dogs. Even with the children being respectful, he is definitely more trusting of adults. He enjoyed interacting with the resident cats, and peacefully co-existed with the dogs. Maki (C15070)
|
Maki is a sweet, spunky short haired boy with the orangest of orange coats. He got his name because he loves his canned seafood cat food so much, that he often smells like a sushi roll after he eats! He is very close to his brother, and he loves to chase him through their tunnel toy, to wrestle with him, and crinkle up tissue paper with him. He loves head scratches and tummy rubs, and will demand tummy rubs with head snuggles and a loud purr, followed by a roll over. In his spare time he likes lifting weights, watching faucets, jumping in wet showers and climbing under covers and onto warm laps for a purr sessions. And, the cutest thing of all… he and his brother run to meet you at the door whenever you come home! This little orange pumpkin is looking for a home for the holidays! Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Maki really needs a playmate in his forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. At this time, we are suggesting that Maki be adopted with his brother, Orangina since they are quite bonded. But, if you already have another playful cat or kitten in your home, or would like to meet another one of our fosters, we think Maki would be fine making a new friend. Maki’s estimated date of birth is 5/25/15. His adoption fee of $135 includes his vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, rabies vaccine, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neuter.
|
Orangina (C15069)
|
Orangina is an extra fluffy medium-long haired orange boy. He has a very short tail, we are not sure if he was born that way or if something got it when he was very young. This does not get in his way at all whatsoever, he is still perfectly capable of all movements, especially chasing and wrestling with his brother! While he loves to play when he is on the ground, he is also happy to be picked up, and loves a warm lap. He is very affectionate and loves to give wet nose kisses and smother you with his teddy bear soft fur. He also loves to snooze next to you in your bed or on the couch and answer with an excited "hello!" meow when you call his name. And, the cutest thing of all… he and his brother run to meet you at the door whenever you come home! Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Orangina really needs a playmate in his forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. At this time, we are suggesting that Orangina be adopted with his brother, Maki since they are quite bonded. But, if you already have another playful cat or kitten in your home, or would like to meet another one of our fosters, we think Orangina would be fine making a new friend. Orangina’s estimated date of birth is 5/25/15. His adoption fee of $135 includes his vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, rabies vaccine, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neuter.

Pauly (C15110)
|
Hi, my name is Pauly. A sweet girl rescued me out of the rain when I was meowing in her kitchen window trying to get in. I was not a young kitten when I was rescued, so I am kind of shy. I really really want to trust people and not be a scaredy kitty, but it's hard for me. Right now I would need someone who understands that I am going to be an awesome cat who is going to love to cuddle, but that I need some practice. I like to put on a bit of a show. When you say my name and are sweet to me, I will start purring and butt arching and act like I want you to come and pet me, but then I get nervous and run. My favorite spot right now is at the bottom of the cat tree (a cozy kind of hidden nook) right by the heating vent. A quiet home is a must. No kids, although I am used to noisy dogs who don't bother me. If you'd like to come and meet me just remember I will be scared, but I will spend my whole life loving you once you take me home and be patient while I adjust to my new environment and get to know you. Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt young kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Pauly would like a playmate in his forever home…and then they can play and snuggle while you're not home. Check out our Pick A Pair page to see if one of his foster buddies are still available since they are already great buddies. Or, at this young age, kittens from different litters can easily be mixed ‘n matched with minimal transition time. If there is already another playful cat or kitten in your house, that would work out too…he already proved he is great at making friends! With Pauly’s personality, he should be placed with an outgoing, non-shy, cat. If you are only interested in adopting a single kitten, and you’re home most of the day, and able to spend interactive time with a kitten, we will consider adopting out a kitten older than 4 months of age. Each foster home knows the kitten’s personalities best, and we follow their recommendations for single placements. Per Pauly’s foster mom, he is independent enough to be adopted as a single kitten. Pauly’s estimated date of birth is 7/25/15 and his adoption fee of $50 includes his vet exam, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccination, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neuter.

Pepper (LTL-C-9539)
|
Pepper is a sweet, shy tabby with
gorgeous green eyes! He is very chatty one-on-one, but can be
nervous in a crowd. He loves kids, but only in small, quiet groups.
Once he is comfortable with his surroundings, he is quick to purr
and play. He adores his brother, Cinnamon, and the two stick close
together. He loves watching birds and chipmunks out the window and
will cuddle up for a nap.

Rummy (C16005)
|
ANYONE UP FOR A GAME OF RUMMY? RUMMY is a very handsome guy, who was a bit shy after all the changes from moving around in his young life. Rummy received some special one-on-one time, and in less than 2 weeks he regained his confidence that these new humans are GREAT! Rummy is now ready to find his forever home! He can still be a bit shy at times, but LOVES to be pet. Right now, he likes to be held for only a short time, then wants to get his feet back on the floor. He loves to play with toys, especially bigger dog toys that he can carry around! Rummy is also a talker if you’re looking for someone to have a conversation with! Rummy loves playing with his siblings, and would love to be adopted with one of them. We told him that pretty soon he won’t have any more changes in his life…he can settle down in his forever home! Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Simba (C15128) New Arrival!!
|
Simba was found wandering a parking lot of an Ohio fraternity, by the son of a former adopter. He was concerned, brought him inside, took him to a vet to see if he was microchipped (not), then posted signs and called the local police to report a found cat. When no one came forward, the family contacted us to see if we could help. We were able to help Simba because the family agreed to foster him while we find him his new forever family – this time we promised him we would find him one that knows how to take care of him! Since being inside, the foster family tells us that he is a playful, cuddly older kitten who loves to play. He has adjusted to being in the house with his older resident "siblings" and doesn't understand why they don't want to play as readily as he does! He has also adjusted to their 3 dogs, so he has become quite socialized. He will cuddle in your lap and purr like crazy when you settle down, but he'll also follow you around, and of course is always anxious to play with you. He's a feisty fellow, but a real sweetheart who would love to be adopted. He probably would love a kitten companion but he would no doubt do well on his own too, if you have the time to keep him occupied. Simba’s estimated date of birth is 5/6/15. His adoption fee of $135 includes his vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neuter.

Toews (C-9640)
|
SHY CATS NEED FOREVER HOMES TOO! Please meet the furry version of a Chicago Blackhawk! This is Toews, the captain of his litter J! Toews and his littermates were found as strays in a northwest suburb when they were over 2 months old and completely scared since humans had never been a part of their lives. Toews has been receiving lots of love in his foster home, and has turned into a very sweet affectionate boy. He was the first one of his litter to be ready for his forever home, the leader of the pack. He is a typical kitten, ready to play and explore, and when he is ready to settle in, he seeks attention and will climb on your lap. One of his favorite things to do right now is to tap his nose on his foster mom’s nose…just his cute way to show affection. Toews has been in a foster home with children, other cats and respectful dogs J. Although he allows the children to pet him, he does not want them to pick him up. He is more trusting of adults. Toews is shy with new people, but once he gets to know you, he will be a total love! He will seek attention, cuddle on your lap, allow you to pick him up, and purr away to let you know he is happy. If you possess the patience to warm his heart, and gain his trust, he will fill your home with gratitude and warm your heart! Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Toews would really like a playmate in his forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. Check out our Pick A Pair page to see if one of his siblings is still available…he especially likes to play with his brother, but cuddle with his sister! If there is already another playful cat or kitten in your house, that would work out too…he already proved he is great at making friends! Toews’estimated date of birth is 9/8/14. His adoption fee of $50 includes his vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg) routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neuter.

Tuskers (C15107)
|
Hi my name is Tuskers, and I am a Flame Point Siamese mix kitten. My sister and I were born in July in an abandoned house. The nice neighbors called my foster mom to say we were there and she came and rescued us from living outside. Warm cuddles with my foster mom and siblings is so much nicer then living in that icky basement. I am very helpful when it comes to chores. I weave in and out of foster mom’s legs when she scoops the litter boxes and chase the broom when she sweeps. Sometimes I can be shy, but it is just a show. I actually love to be petted and cuddle and play, play, play!!! I am a very handsome boy. You may not see in the photos but I have red highlights on my ears and tail, and I have gorgeous icy blue eyes. I am accustomed to polite but noisy dogs, and would probably be okay with respectful kids as long as they don't chase me. I would be fine as a single cat but would much rather go with a kitten buddy. How about my sister?! Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt young kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Tuskers would love to have a playmate in his forever home…and then they can play and snuggle while you're not home. Check out our Pick A Pair page to see if his sister or other foster buddies are still available. They’re already great buddies who LOVE to play and cuddle together! Or, at this young age, kittens from different litters can easily be mixed ‘n matched with minimal transition time. If there is already another playful cat or kitten in your house, that would work out too…he already proved he is great at making friends! If you are only interested in adopting a single kitten, and you’re home most of the day, and able to spend interactive time with a kitten, we will consider adopting out a kitten older than 4 months of age. Each foster home knows the kitten’s personalities best, and we follow their recommendations for single placements. Tuskers’ foster mom said she feels Tuskers could adjust to being a solo cat if you really have the time to spend with him every day. Tuskers’ estimated date of birth is 7/13/15 and his adoption fee of $135 includes his vet exam, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccination, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neuter. |
Yoda (C16010) New Arrival!!
|
“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...”, Yoda was on a journey to find his forever home. This Yoda has lots of energy, is engaging and very interactive. And, he loves to be pet behind his ears (which are not even close to the size of the ears of the Yoda you know)! This Yoda is new to the RESCUE UNIVERSE. As he landed on the new planet Foster, his sweet nature won everyone over in a short time. He is very affectionate and loves to sit in laps and play with his warrior sibling. Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Yoda really needs a playmate in his forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. Check out our website to see if one of his siblings is still available.
